WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE between our LCMS & the ELCA? Both our Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Lutheran are Lutheran churches with congregations right here in West Fargo. Yet, sadly, because of some major differences of teaching and practice regarding the nature and authority of Holy Scripture, the Lutheran Confessions, homosexuality, abortion and the Lord’s Supper, these two churches are not in altar & pulpit fellowship.
